Position Overview

Red Pepper, an industry leader in retail technology, is seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Account Executive to join our expanding team in North America. This role offers the chance to take our industry-leading Shopper Engagement Platform to retailers and drive significant growth for our business. As an Account Executive, your primary focus will be on revenue generation through strategic sales techniques, nurturing relationships, and promoting our products effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution: Drive the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals. Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs and provide relevant solutions.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for upselling and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Product Demonstration: Effectively communicate and demonstrate the value of our Shopper Engagement Platform to potential clients, highlighting how our solutions can address their specific needs and challenges.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activities in our CRM, including calls, emails, meetings, and follow-ups.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies. Leverage this information to identify new business opportunities.
  • Feedback Loop: Collaborate with product and marketing teams to provide insights and feedback from clients to enhance our offerings.
  • Revenue Impact: Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics, with a clear focus on driving revenue growth.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in SaaS sales, preferably with a focus on retail or marketing technologies.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of motivation and a strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
  • Passionate about technology and its potential to transform the retail landscape.
  • Prior experience in a startup sales environment will be highly advantageous

  • Product Marketing: Work closely with our leadership team to define and execute go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and messaging that differentiates our solution in the market. Map the competitive landscape and enable our sales and customer teams
  • Demand Generation: Develop and implement effective lead generation campaigns that will increase customer acquisition and conversion rates. Utilize SEO, SEM, email, social media, and events to drive traffic and generate interest in Red Pepper.
  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and measure successful marketing campaigns, aligning with sales teams to ensure they are effectively driving revenue growth.
  • Revenue Impact: Own key marketing metrics and goals, including tracking ROI on marketing initiatives, improving customer acquisition costs, and ensuring the marketing team’s efforts contribute significantly to revenue growth.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in content marketing, product marketing, and demand generation in a B2B setting.
  • Solid understanding of SEO, SEM, and marketing analytics tools.
  • Strong creativity, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
